Welcome !
Thank you for visiting my website.. I think if you are reading this we have something in common.
A deep and unconditional love for all creatures!
I am now living my dream of working with and for the animals and their guardians. It wasn't always this way. This is my story, I hope that it will inspire
you to follow your heart..
From knee high to a grasshopper I have loved animals with a passion. One of my earliest memories is when I was about two years old. On holiday with my parents in
Switzerland, there I met a dog called Bruno. Bruno stole my heart. A huge St. Bernard!
Bruno had the gentlest nature and kindest heart. I clearly remember snuggling up to him and sinking my nose deep into his fur, his warmth and gorgeous
doggy smell will never leave me! I know I was born with this love of animals, it wasn't something I acquired in life, it is there, never to leave me, ever.
As a child we lived in a flat so I couldn't have a dog or a cat, which I would have loved, so I had as many hamsters, budgies and mice that Mum and Dad would allow..
I loved those creatures so much and never shirked my duties to look after them. I always seemed to find animals wherever I was.. walking in the park, going to school..
I had to make friends with them all!
I always wanted to work with animals in some capacity but at this stage it was not to be so I was very fortunate and found my way into the world of television. I worked
my way up from production secretary to producer and director. I worked on some amazing shows including: Gladiators, The Royal Variety Performance and The Grand
Opening Of Eurodisney.
During my career in TV my Mother discovered she had breast cancer. She had a long battle with the disease which was diagnosed in 1978, she finally passed over in 1993.
Mum also loved animals with a passion so about four years before she went to the angels I decided to find her a cat to keep her company (knowing that if anything
happened to Mum I would look after the cat). I found a tiny Devon Rex kitten called Rosie. Rosie was a sweet tortoiseshell tabby and she went to live with Mum
aged 12 weeks. What we didn't know was that Rosie had an awful cat disease called Feline Infectious Peritonitis. I now know a great deal about this feline illness
which is always fatal but at the time it was new to me. Sadly Rosie passed away in Mum's arms aged 16 weeks. She was meant to come to us and spend her brief life with
humans who really cared and did whatever they could to help her. She truly was a kitten angel and she was to change my life forever.. her story continues later on.
After Rosie passed I left enough time for Mum to grieve. I then found her another two kittens, also Devon Rexes..
Mum welcomed those beautiful little creatures into her home and she called them Lucia and Chloe. Looch (as she became known) and Chloe were to enrich our lives
immeasurably..
When Mum died the two girls came to live with me. They were the loves of my life.. Chloe passed away age 19 years in June 2008, and her sister Looch got her
wings in October 2009, aged 20!
In 2003 I was still working in television and worked on a programme called Harley Street. This was an observational documentary on London's famous medical
street and all the doctors and therapists that fill its houses! One of my stories was on spiritual healing. The piece starred an amazing healer called
Ingrid Collins. Ingrid runs a spiritual healing clinic on Harley Street
and also has an academy teaching healing to students from all over the world.
I got on like a house on fire with Ingrid and one day after we had been filming together we were nattering away when Ingrid stopped and said "there is someone with
us.. it's a tiny kitten, black, orange and brown (tortie!) and she says she is fine and with your Mum." You could have knocked me down with a feather! Ingrid had
no idea that my Mum was with the angels, or indeed that she had a tortoiseshell kitten Rosie who had died in her arms! This was one of those moments that you
know will change your life! Ingrid is still a wonderful friend and soul mate!
Ingrid and I talked more and more about animals and spirituality (I have always been spiritual but not in a conventional religious way) and it was then that she
told me about her friend, a wonderful lady called Amelia Kinkade who is an animal communicator extraordinaire. Yes, I could actually talk to animals! Ingrid
told me that Amelia ran workshops and that I should go!
That is exactly what I did.. I took myself off up to the Lake District which was the next available workshop with Amelia. And yes, my life changed dramatically,
I was talking to the animals, it was the most amazing feeling in the world. I continued to work in TV but pursued my new found life whilst in my old career.
I did more communication workshops with Amelia and other communicators to hone my new found ability. I also found an amazing animal healing course down in
Sussex that I wanted to do. So.. I left London, my home for all my life, moved to Sussex and changed my life! I trained as a Reiki healer and I graduated from
my animal healing course and now am a full time animal communicator, animal healer, I run workshops and have clients all over the globe!
I now also work part-time at Raystede (www.raystede.org) Centre for Animal Welfare. It is a wonderful charity that help so many different animals, cats, dogs, horses, birds and small animals of every description. It was at Raystede that I found my darling cat JJ in January 2010. JJ became the love of my life.
He was taken to Raystede as his guardian had to go into a care home. It is with a heavy heart that I write that JJ went to sleep on 4th February 2011. We were only together for a year but the time is irrelevant. We were so close and our bond so very deep. I miss him so much. But JJ's story continues.. The day before JJ went to sleep I was at Raystede and two tiny kittens were brought in.
When the first kitten was brought out of the carrier by the people that were handing them over I couldn't believe my eyes! She was the smallest kitten I had ever seen and the absolute image of JJ. The same colour exactly! The second kitten was slightly larger but the same colour as my darling Chloe who went to the angels in 2008! The sisters were in a very bad way and rushed to the vets for rehydration and immediate attention. Somehow the little souls survived with the love and care of the amazing cattery staff at Raystede. It was so incredible that they came into my life a day before JJ got his wings. They needed a good loving home and to recover from their desperate start on this planet so I have adopted them! In JJ's honour I have called them Jasmine and Juniper! His memory will never leave me.. Ever. I know he is with me still, I have felt him on my pillow at night, where he used to sleep sometimes! I think it was JJ that sent the kittens to me, I know it was!
My journey is ever unfolding and I feel so blessed to be on my path with the animals.
I hope you enjoy my site.
